Privellaged to attend important ceremonies in Lospalos. I'm pictured here with lovely Ronia, at a celebration for the returned bones of Falintil fighters.

Everyone jumped into action for the AusAid/ Journalist visit. Iku (pictured) and Argun spent a sleepless night painting the CTKDS welcome banner, complete with logos and text.

The Relic of Saint Don Bosco arrived in Lospalos on Sunday 20th Feb. After weeks of preparation, thousands of Timorese lined the streets, waiting up to 16 hours in teeming rain for the Saint’s arrival. Considered an advocate for the education of young men, Don Bosco died in 1888.

Hi Deb,let me first say I enjoyed looking at the photos and read your blog.My name is kalthoum and you can call me kate too.Excuse my English as it is not my first language. I live in Bega, Nsw for almost 6 years after I married Australian. I joined the CWA last year, and as a member, they chose me to be their international officer, and the country of study last year was Iceland. I did my best to made our International day very successful. This year,I decided that other member take my position. And CWA chose East Timor as a country of study this year. To be honest, I can’t keep away from looking for any information about East Timor. I have no idea about the country, neither some of our Branch member, My research about East timor lead me to your blog.I really admire the job done by many charities to help the women their. Preserve the culture is good thing to do. In kuwait,a group of interesting women tried to preserve the kuwaiti Bedioun women weaving skills, which call Sadu. Anyhow, will keep reading your blog when I can,to learn more about your project in East Timor and will also support the Etwa. Take care….
